Begin jaren 70 bracht Pieters broer een sitar voor hem mee uit het verre India. Het was altijd Pieters wens die rinkelende klanken nog eens bij een lied te kunnen gebruiken. Bij ‘Water Sweet Water’ voegde het zich harmonisch samen met onder meer de warme backing vocals van Mirjam.
