Een lied over de zichtbare en ook onzichtbare werkers die het voor elk van ons mogelijk maken dat we leven zoals we leven.
Na Laura Comes Home en Toes alweer de derde song waar we in samenwerking met studenten van BUas Breda een songclip bij maakten.

Clarence White was een begenadigd gitarist en zou dit jaar 80 zijn geworden, als hij niet in ’73 door een dronken automobilist werd doodgereden. Getroffen door zijn miraculeuze spel op zijn Telecaster ‘StringBender’ zag Pieter hem een paar jaar daarvoor in de formatie The Byrds.
Met dank aan Ton v Oeffel voor zijn soepele telecaster spel en Ad Vermeer voor zijn muzikaal idee.
Clarence White was a gifted guitarist and would have turned 80 this year had he not been killed by a drunk driver in ’73. Struck by his miraculous playing on his Telecaster “StringBender,” Pieter saw him in the formation The Byrds a few years earlier.
Thanks to Ton v Oeffel for his smooth telecaster playing and Ad Vermeer for his musical idea.

I must have been about seventeen strumming my first guitar when he performed on stage in town among some other stars
Hair overshadowed his eyes like the Untitled cover shows on the right that ringing twelve string and me somewhere in the front rows
With his Tele strapped up high eyes staring somewhere far while his tones pierced the sky
Clear as a bell right through the crowd his string bender calls and whines out loud clawing a crater in my heart leaving my head in clouds
He wasn't much of a talker his dark voice stuck in his beard but when he took out his acoustic some amazing picking was heard
Groaning wood in the basses Cross after beats as well speeding up the melodies that guitar was under his spell

‘Tot mijn verbazing kreeg ik een Engelstalige review over onze muziek van TakandBand in mijn mail. Met toch wel rode oortjes heb ik geluisterd wat er was samengesteld en verlevendigd met AI. Zo hebben ze het over mijn weg als muzikant en over de songs zoals die van ‘Clarence’. Toch aanbevolen deze kwartier durende podcast: ‘A Deep Dive Into TakandBand’.’ Groet, Pieter
